"I think of the fact that calling for a free Palestine does not mean calling for the destruction of Israel" - It boggles my mind that so many people can't, or refuse to, grasp this.
I agree! It's insane that there is so little talk of peace for both sides. I've been inspired by Moaz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, an Israeli who lost his parents on Oct 7th and a Palestinian whose brother was killed by an Israeli soldier when he was a child. As peace activists they had become friends and since Oct 7th, they have become closer and more determined than ever to work for peace in the region. I'm also inspired by Yonatan Zeigen whose mother Vivian Silver, an Israeli/Canadian peace activist, was killed on Oct 7th. He is also calling for peace for both sides. If these grieving individuals can avoid the inclination to revenge, everyone can!
